Herts Sports Partnership (HSP)

The HSP is an independent voluntary organisation that seeks to increase participation in sport and physical activity.

It works in conjunction with a wide range of partners across the county including local authorities, promary care trusts, national governing bodies of sports’ local officers and the school sport partnerships.It works closely with all the Community Sport Networks including Active East Herts and provides support on funding and operations.

East Herts District Council

East Herts District Council has total commitment towards promoting health and fitness amongst both its residents and staff and there is a whole wealth of sports available in East Herts. Physical activity is fun, good for our health both socially and physically, and enhances quality of life.

 East Herts District Council has a representative on Active East Herts’ Executive Committee and has financially supported the Community Sport Network’s establishment.

The East Herts District Council also provides funding support for sports clubs
and individuals through its Community Grant, Councillor Revenue Grant and
County Councillor Locality Funds.

If you’re somebody looking to volunteer we offer free advice and guidance and free courses such as the Improving Your Chances course as well as a range of Voluntary opportunities to suit your interests.

CVSBEH undertakes a diverse range of activities to develop, enhance and empower voluntary & community groups to effectively serve their communities. These activities include: monthly free E-Bulletins delivered to a mailing list of 1000 contacts; Training workshops for volunteers and paid staff; a Funding and Governance Support service; Networking and Consultation events including voluntary sector forums; managing local Resources such as meeting rooms and equipment recycling and loan and Representation of local groups on cross sector partnership and community Project Development opportunities. CVSBEH also supports volunteers in the development and sustainability of Small Groups and ethnic minority associations.
